Description: This is an Interstate Hotels and Resorts Position. Interstate is an EEO/AA/M/F/D/V employer. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and recommending a group sales marketing plan and budget; the daily operations and training / directing of the sales staff. Requires advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the sales/marketing/hospitality profession. Must possess a working understanding of Delphi, analytical abilities, highly developed communication abilities to negotiate, convince, sell and influence managerial personnel, corporate clients and guests. Key functions include but are not limited to: solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business; supervise Group Sales; Develop & enhance relationships with other departments & key corporate, business and travel industry accounts. Required: four year college diploma or equivalent education/background. 3-four years employment in related field.
