The expansion continues as FieldTurf Construction has recently opened an office in Auburn Hills, Michigan that will operate as a regional office for the world’s largest sports surfacing manufacturer. This new office will allow FieldTurf to be closer to its Midwest clientele and properly service the company’s growing customer base in this region. The Michigan office will be headed up by industry veteran Charlie Cook who will assume the role of Regional Director of Operations at FieldTurf. The Auburn Hills staff brings over 20 years of industry experience.

The Auburn Hills office is the first of many ‘FieldTurf Construction’ locations slated to open around the country in the coming months. These regional offices will help to ensure that FieldTurf continues to exceed their customers’ expectations with regards to obtaining first-class local service.

“It is with great pride that we announce the opening of our new regional office in Auburn Hills,” said FieldTurf Tarkett CEO Joe Fields. “Our local presence in the great state of Michigan will allow us to focus on exceeding customer expectations in terms of service, customer care, and quality. Our new employees in Michigan will operate under the same commitment to excellence that FieldTurf has become known for throughout the world.”

FieldTurf is currently in use in some of the most prominent institutions in the state including Ford Field (Super Bowl XL was played on FieldTurf), the Pontiac Silverdome, University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Wayne State, and Grand Valley State to name a few. Twenty-one of the NFL’s 32 teams currently use FieldTurf at their stadiums and/or their practice facilities, in addition to over 50 NCAA D-1 stadiums across the country, for various sports. Also, three Major League Baseball teams play their home games on FieldTurf: the 2008 AL Champion Tampa Bay Rays, Minnesota Twins, and Toronto Blue Jays.

The NFL Players Association released their biennial ranking of NFL stadium fields during a January 29, 2009 press conference in Tampa prior to the Super Bowl. Once again, the results tabbed FieldTurf as the runaway leader among all artificial turf brands. In data gathered from polling/voting of over 1500 NFL players, 80% of the league’s Top Ten artificial turf surfaces were FieldTurf fields.

FieldTurf Tarkett, a Division of the Tarkett Group, is the largest entity in the sports surfacing industry and offers unparalleled leasing capabilities, engineering, manufacturing resources, and environmental standards.
