Online Ticket Stub Museum Receives 5,000th Entry; Cubs Fan Submits Historic Stub To Claim Honor

San Diego-based TicketStubCollection.com today announced the addition of its milestone 5,000th ticket stub.
The stub was contributed by Kasey Ignarski of Chicago, and is from Game 1 of the 1984 National League Championship Series. In this game, the Cubs returned to post season play for the first time, against the San Diego Padres.
Said Ignarski about his memories of that game: “It was this game that ended the post-season drought. The Cubs won the NL East in 84 and played the San Diego Padres in the NLCS. Game 1 featured Jimmy Buffett singing the National Anthem, Ernie Banks throwing out the 1st pitch, Rick Sutclliffe & Warren Brusstar combing for a shutout, Bobby Dernier hitting a leadoff Home run for the Cubs and a 13-0 rout of the Padres. It was a special day for all Cubs fans.”
