Question by Chad: Why did the Florida Marlins fire manager Fredi Gonzalez?
Seriously. Fredi was a pretty good manager, with the teams he had to manage. Did Marlins really expect to win a world series with such a cheap payroll? Their payroll was so low that the players association force them to get more players and get it higher. Stupid decision for the Marlins. They just gave Braves a great manager for next year after another great manager (Cox) retires.

Because the owner is a racist, we just haven’t heard about it yet. Oh, and Gonzalez won’t be managing the Braves, it will be Bob Brenly with Eric Wedge as bench coach (aka Manager in waiting).
