The theme of this yearÂÂs conference is ÂÂEmerging Leaders: Reinvented.ÂÂ The agenda of the conference is the exploration of the call & responsibility of the new generation young professionals as productive leaders in our community. As an auxiliary of the Dallas Urban League, the Young ProfessionalsÂÂ mission includes community service and professional development. This goal of this conference is to educate the minority professionals on current trends in the work place as well as opportunity to network with other professionals. In addition, it provides minorities with an insiders look into Dallas and the efforts it is undertaking to attract upwardly mobile minority professionals into the area.
The eventÂÂs keynote speaker, H. Ron White is Managing Partner of Adorno Yoss White & Wiggins ÂÂ the largest and fastest growing full service minority-owned law firm in Texas. ÂÂIt is important for young African Americans and Latinos to develop, to effectively function in the business arena because the Corporate/Business model defines and influence public policy, employment, business opportunities and our quality of life. They recruited African American men and women 20 to 30 years old and invited them to take active leadership roles in local Urban League programs and activities.
