Pittsburgh Pirates and its Triple A affiliate , the Buffalo Bisons, played an exhibition game at Pilot Field in 1991. The Pirates were led by manager Jim Leyland and consisted of the likes of Barry Bonds, Bobby Bonilla, Andy Van Syke, Jay Bell, Doug Drabek, Curtis McClendon. During the Home Run Derby, Barry Bonds became the first player ever to hit the Centerfield scoreboard.
PNC Park video the Pirates show before every game that has the Pirates and the opposing team battling with pirate ships. PNC Park statues come to life as well to help in the fight.
