If there is one thing that Pennsylvania football fans should watch out for, it is how the Pittsburgh Steelers 2008 NFL Team will fare during this year’s regular season. Presently a member of the North Division of the American Football Conference of the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers are considered the oldest football franchise in the league. The team has been called many names. From 1933 to 1939, they have been called the Pittsburgh Pirates. Then, it was Pittsburgh Steelers in 1940 until 1942. They became th Philadelphia-Pittsburgh Steagles in 1943. And finally in 1945, the team name reverted back to Pittsburgh Steelers. The team plays its home games in the Heinz Field. This began in 2001. Prior to the Heinz Field, the home field of the Steelers were Forbes Field from 1933 to 1963, the Pitt Stadium from 1964 to 1969, and the Three Rivers Stadium from 1970 until the year 2000.
