The new wholesale line will debut at the HDAC show in March. Kim Brown, owner of Spotlight Costumes says, “We’re offering costumers a higher quality line with many “hand made” features that simply aren’t available from the larger wholesale manufacturers.” In fact, the whole line is made in Pittsburgh at the Spotlight Costumes shop. This allows the store to offer the custom made size and quantity option to its’ customers.

Additionally, Kim says the store is expanding its’ theatrical services to include the same “custom order” service. “Our theatrical customers like to think ‘outside the box’ and put their own handprint on the look of the show. We’re offering a partnership with directors and costume managers that will allow them to rent or purchase “custom packages” in addition to the traditional show groups.”

Spotlight Costumes is located at 1503 East Carson Street on the Southside of Pittsburgh. Since 1988, Spotlight Costumes has been producing costumes for the stage, television, film and video in major cities throughout the United States and Europe.

Disney Theatricals, Pittsburgh’s Civic Light Opera, H.J. Heinz Corporation, Kennywood Park, Pepsi Cola Corporation, Keebler, Pittsburgh Pirates, Gateway Clipper Fleet, The Bon Marché, Brockett Productions, actor Bruce Willis, Carnegie Hall and the Frick Art and Historical Society are a few of their many famous clients.
