It looks like Michael Pineda will be on the DL for the whole of April. After some rest for his right rotator cuff tendinitis, he is now throwing again. Hopefully, no more pain for this top prospect. This could be a blessing in disguise for the New York Yankees. Young prospects like this are on innings pitched limits. A month off at the beginning of the season could extend his season throughout the playoffs. Make sure he is stashed on your DL. Pick up some saves in the meantime with Brad Lidge. If you’re in need of another starting pitcher, frankly i would play the matchups and look for a high strikeout pitcher not currently drafted playing in a pitcher friendly stadium.
