Ellicottville, NY (PRWEB) September 29, 2010

Southern rock will be “alive and well” at the Ellicottville Brewing Company (http://www.ellicottvillebrewing.com) this fall as Jimmie Van Zant (brother of both Ronnie and Johnny Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd fame) headlines EBC Live! Waking up the Village, a powerhouse event created by EBC owner/operator Peter Kreinheder to coincide with the ever popular Fall Festival in Ellicottville.

“We wanted to do something uniquely different this year by creating an all day concert experience,” says Kreinheder. “Ellicottville Brewing Company is more than a microbrewery; we’re a destination restaurant and we want people to know that they can come out and enjoy not just great beer and food, but great music. It’s all about creating a unique experience.”

The all-day event kicks off with country singer Jackson Rohm http://www.jacksonrohm.com whose 15-year career as a professional recording artist includes singing the national anthem at Wrigley Field prior to the start of a Chicago Cubs baseball game.

Rohm is followed by Beatle Magic (http://www.beatlemagic.com) at 3:30 p.m. – considered by many to be the finest Beatles tribute bands in North America. The group, which has toured extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada, puts on an impressive three-hour show which painstakingly recreates the aura and sound of the Fab Four through numerous phases of The Beatles’ phenomenal career.

Rohm returns to the stage at 7 p.m. to open for headliner Jimmie Van Zant ((http://www.jimmievanzant.net) at 9 p.m. and closing out the show is a late night after party featuring the Horseshoe Lounge Playboys. Concerts are free from 1 to 6 p.m., with tickets available for $ 35 at the door ($ 25 pre-sale price) from 6 p.m. onward.

“Just to give you an idea of the depth of the bands that will be appearing… some of them appear at other concerts as the headliner,” notes Kreinheder.

He adds that “we’re providing wristbands so people can come and go throughout the day. So whether you enjoy the energy of southern rock, the softer styling of bluegrass and country, or the classic sound of the Beatles, EBC Live! Waking up the Village promises to be a unique experience you won’t want to miss.”

TICKET INFORMATION:

Admission to this unique event will be limited to 1,200 tickets, including just 75 tickets for the VIP area. Pre-event tickets are available at a discounted price of $ 25 and can be purchased at http://www.ellicottvillebrewing.com or by calling 716-699-ALES. Tickets will also be available at the door for $ 35. An age restriction of 21 or older applies after 6 p.m. VIP tickets are $ 100 each and include preferred seating, a chance to meet the performers, a private bar and EBC catered food. All attendees can also take advantage of the Desperados Barbeque – which will have concessions set up inside the brewery and there will be other food and craft beer tents onsite, featuring EBC (including its signature Oktoberfest fall brew) as well as Southern Tier Brewing.

ABOUT EBC

Now in its 15th year of operation, Ellicottville Brewing Company is inspired by the great microbreweries of Vail and the west coast, adding its own woodsy Victorian charm with its old mill setting and large, turn-of-the century solid walnut and granite bar. Not content to be viewed as just a ‘brew pub’, EBC strives to be a great restaurant with an equally great selection of beer brewed on premise, recently installing a new tap system that brings the total number of micro-brewed beers served at any time to 15. In addition to its Ellicottville restaurant, EBC opened a second restaurant in Fredonia, New York. EBC bottled beer is currently available in 15 different states across the country.
