Ken and Barbie Kill It as Hollywoodâs Newest Producing Pair
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 19, 2010
Tall, blonde, and beautiful, Eric Mark Fischer and Brianna Lee Johnson, known as Hollywoodâs âKen and Barbie Producing Couple,â and are the driving force behind Efish Entertainment. Not surprisingly, inspiration for their first film “The Anniversary at Shallow Creek” came from an obsession with the true stories of serial killers, particularly the infamous âKen and Barbie Killersâ Paul Bernado and Karla Homolka. Turning their obsession into a psychological thriller, Eric and Brianna worked together to write, produce, and star in “The Anniversary at Shallow Creek.” A recent VIP screening of “Anniversary” packed the house at the WGA Theater in Beverly Hills during AFM week with Fangoria, Crater Lake Vodka, and Monster Energy Drinks sponsoring the red carpet event. “Anniversary” is the first of 3 films in the works for the power pair who are looking forward to a big 2011.
In storybook Hollywood fashion, Ken and Barbie met when Eric was directing a film Brianna auditioned for, and the rest is history. Eric Fischer got his first taste of the spotlight when he was drafted into Major League Baseball immediately after high school. The talented Fischer played eight years as starting pitcher with the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins. Retiring from baseball in 2005 due to injury, Eric moved to Los Angeles to pick up where his child acting days left off and to fulfill his dream of becoming a Hollywood producer. He co-founded Efish Entertainment, and the company hit the ground running, able to secure the ever elusive financing in order to develop and produce high quality film and TV. Fischer, also the CEO of Efish Entertainment, now pitches a perfect game as a producer and says his competitive spirit follows through in the entertainment business. âMajor League Baseball and Entertainment are very different, but they both allow me to appreciate my drive and perseverance to succeed,â he said.
Brianna Lee Johnson, Chief Creative Officer of Efish Entertainment immersed herself in the world of theater, and made her acting debut when she was 11 years old on the hit show âDr. Quinn Medicine Woman.â Since then, sheâs appeared in over 30 different theater productions, graduated from NYU, studied at the famed Tisch School of the Arts, and founded her own successful theater production company, Tall Blonde Productions. âI know the business inside and out and thereâs nothing else Iâd rather do!â she shared. Briannaâs charm, theatrical training, and business acumen give her the coveted connection all producers want to have with their talent.
Next up for Eric and Brianna is producing the scintillating thriller “Lizzie” with Dark Morgue Pictures. Currently in production, film stars several Hollywood heavyweights including Gary Busey, Shawna Waldron (Cyrus), Don Swayze (The Young and the Restless), Corbin Bernsen (Pysch), Amanda Baker (All My Children), Danielle Kennedy, and Caitlin Carmichael, along with Executive Producer/Writer/Actor Leif Holt, and Executive Producer/Cinematographer Matt Mosher.
