Emergency Medicine Opportunity in Midtown St. Louis, MO – 49 Days Paid Time Off
The Emergency Department (ED) of the St. Louis VA Health Care System is currently seeking a full-time physician who is Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine (preferable), Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Surgery. Staff ED physicians are responsible for providing medical screening examinations, establishing the plan of care, and appropriate disposition of patients presenting to the 14 bed ED with Medical, Surgical, and Behavioral Medicine diagnoses. Some of the duties include provision of care to veterans, facility employees, and visitors requiring humanitarian aid. The department census includes emergent, urgent, non-urgent acuity levels and employee health visits. Prior ED experience is highly desired but not required. Additional duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Perform assessment/examinations on encounters with all presenting patients
