Question by saucy62690: Can anyone explain the significance of “455” in Cleveland Indians lore?
I’ve never really followed baseball, but I got caught in a long wiki-hole earlier and ended up on the Cleveland Indians article. Under “retired numbers”, it had “455” linking to the article entitled “fan (person)”. Is this of some significance in the franchise’s history/lore or just a random act of Wikipedia vandalism?

455 is the number of consecutive sell out crowds at Jacobs Feild… A record that will probably be broken by the Red Sox this year I believe
