Question by : Why do so many fans root for the visiting team at Tampa Bay Rays home games?
It seems like half the people at the games are rooting for the visiting team at Tropicana Field, especially when Boston or New York visits. Why is there no hometown support for this team in Tampa even though they have developed into a solid baseball club now?

a lot of people retire to Florida so they are rooting for the team where they lived before
