Question by tburgtbone06: Why are the Los Angeles Angels of Aniheim called what they are?
Doesn’t Los Angeles mean “City of Angels”? So the LAA are the City of Angels Angels? This is stupid… Just put it back to California Angels.

art moreno (owner of the angels) believes he will make more money advertising his team as a team of Los Angeles, the second largest market in the world. he wants to attract more fans from LA, seeing how Anaheim is a much smaller market. the city’s contract with the team requires the term Anaheim to be in the name so they cant go back to the california angels.
