Dr. Raphael S. F. Longobardi, Orthopaedic Surgeon/Sports Medicine Specialist to Host Free Seminar Targeting Common Shoulder Problems

According to the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, almost 14 million visits are made to physicians’ offices each year due to shoulder problems. To help the general public effectively assess their aches and pains, University Orthopaedic Center and Board Certified orthopaedic surgeon, Raphael S. F. Longobardi, MD, FAAOS will present a free Patient Education Seminar entitled “Common Shoulder Problems.” Dr. Longobardi will explain the anatomy of the shoulder, interpret the various causes of shoulder pain, provide evaluation techniques and discuss successful treatment solutions.

Dr. Longobardi, a graduate of New York University School of Medicine and member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and numerous other medical associations, and has been honored by the Lillian S. Lusskin Orthopaedic Foundation for Excellence in Teaching. He is affiliated with Hackensack Medical Center and Holy Name Hospital. Dr. Longobardi has also served as Team Consultant to the Florida Marlins Baseball Team, the U.S. Tennis Association, the NY/NJ MetroStars Soccer Team, the New York Islanders Hockey Team, and numerous other professional and collegiate sports teams.
