the leagues out at 15 teams a piece. Right now, there are 16 teams in the National League and 14 in the American. That seems ludicrous to me. Also, why are there only 4 teams in the American League West? when most divisions have 5 and even 6 teams? My proposal is to move the Colorado Rockies from the National League over to the American League, either that or take the Florida Marlins from the National and re-locate them to Portland, Oregon and make that team an American League West Team. Or, you could make the SF Giants into an American League West team to balance them out.
