I didn’t the data comparison. This is how many wins each division or wild card leader has on average in the last 5 years.

AL East- 97 wins
AL Central- 95 wins
AL West- 96 wins
AL Wild Card- 95 wins
AL Average playoffs contender- 96 wins

NL East-92 wins
NL Central-91 wins
NL West- 86 wins
NL Central-89 wins
NL playoff contender average-89 wins

Notice the huge difference O_O…..to make the playoffs in the american league….you need 7, SEVEN , more wins.

Also notice, you need 11 more wins, to win the AL East than the NL West.

Think about it. Last year, the 1st place dodgers were 84-80.

If you put the dodgers in the AL east, these are the standings:

Tampa Bay Rays- 97 65
Boston Red Soxs- 95 67
New York Yankees- 89 73
Toronto Blue Jays- 86 76
Los Angels Dodgers- 84 70

Haha……the best team in the NL west would get last place in the AL east according to last year standings. O_O
