Question by Pick me! Pick me!: Is the west the best division in the National League?
The west has the Padres, the Dodgers, the Giants, and the Rockies. These are all good contending teams. I don’t believe that any division in the major leagues beside the AL East is better than the NL West.

(Giants lover speaking) Yes, at least as far as pitching goes. You don’t have the offensive teams top to bottom but even the lowly Diamondbacks have Danny Haren who is an ace on any staff.
