downtown san diego on tuesday…before all hell breaks loose. you can actually see the street and the sidewalks, in only a few short hours this since of calm would be obliterated.
this year the comicon saw over 100,000 visitors…it was truly amazing, there were jedi knights, klingons, striptease artists, living anime characters, batman, geisha’s, wookies, hooved hands and feet and anything the mind can imagine…it is truly a spectacle and i wouldn’t miss it for the world!
this photo was taken from the pool deck of my hotel "the omni" which is right next door to the baseball stadium where the padre’s play and there was a game that first night!

San Diego Padres’ outfielder Will Venable takes a swing at Petco Park versus the Atlanta Braves on August 5, 2009.
Venable hit a 2-run home run, the only scores the Padres managed that day, losing 6-2 to the Braves at home. Venable hit the only homer of the game.
