Porcello pitches Tigers past Rangers
With 38 hits in two games, the Detroit bats are rolling. The Tigers set season-highs for hits on back-to-back nights, pounding Texas pitching for 20 hits on Tuesday night in an 8-1 victory over the AL West-leading Rangers. “When we hit ’em good, they were falling in and when we hit ’em bad, they were falling in sometimes,” Tigers manager Jim Leyland said.
