Davis’ career average include 17.1 points, 7. assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.

A native of Los Angeles, Davis was born on April 13, 1979. He grew up in South Central with his grandmother, Madea. He began playing basektball at age 3 after his grandfather built a court for him. He continued his love for the sport all through his younger years, and then at Crossroads HighSchool, Baron accumulated a myriad of honors, including McDonald’s All American and Gatorade Player of the Year among others. Davis attended UCLA and became a first-team All-American before being drafted after his sophomore season in the first round (third pick) by the Charlotte Hornets in 1999.

Since entering the NBA, Davis has formed two foundations, TeamPlay and Rising Stars of America.

Team Play focusses on mentorship for inner city kids through its own social networking site. Rising stars of America (www.rsoa.net) conducts basketball camps and sponsors AAU teams. The mission of R.S.O.A. is to utilize athletics as a means of teaching ethical and social values, and life skills through mentorship and positive role modeling to young people.

As Davis’ career begins a new chapter having returned to his hometown to play for the Clippers, he plans to be a strong presence within the community to inspire young people to set goals for themselves and work hard to achieve them. With his dedication to basketball, charismatic personality, great sense of humor and unique style all his own, Davis is sure to be a great influence to others, both on and off the court.
