St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) March 6, 2008
Fanball.com, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liberty Media Corporation, announced the launch of its fantasy baseball games and services for the 2008 season. Fanball’s fantasy baseball offerings include a Commissioner MLB league commissioner service, Draft & Play MLB game, Challenge Games and free games.
Commissioner MLB league manager is Fanball’s new fantasy baseball league manager service. The service, priced at $ 49.95 per league, is a follow-up to Fanball’s popular Commissioner NFL league manager. Commissioner MLB allows fantasy baseball owners to use more than 200 different stat categories, make changes to their teams online, track their league standings throughout the baseball season, and use other league features.
Draft & Play MLB, now in its fifth year, is Fanball’s live draft game. The game offers six levels of play ranging in price of entry from $ 10 to $ 1,000. Participants compete in a 10-team league and have the opportunity to win cash prizes up to $ 6,000, depending on the level of play. Participants can also earn FanPoints, loyalty points earned through Fanball’s Reward Points Program, which can be redeemed for Fanball game credits.
Fanball also has six popular season-long fantasy baseball Challenge Games, each allowing fantasy players to create their own fantasy teams under a salary cap. Participants are rewarded with FanPoints and cash for weekly, league, division and overall success during the 2008 baseball season. Cash grand prizes range from $ 3,000 to $ 25,000, with varying entry fees for all budgets.
“We are excited to offer our 2008 Fantasy Baseball games for the 16th consecutive year,” said Fanball’s VP of Sales, Charlie Wiegert. “Fantasy baseball players will find many of the same exciting features they’ve come to love about Fanball’s fantasy baseball games, with some new enhancements and prizes.”
