What a great game to be a kid at!!! Dave Kingman, Manny Trillo, George Foster, Johnny Bench all had HR’s. The "Big Red Machine" was in it’s final year, and the Cubs were a contender.
The game was two weeks after Rose’s hit streak stopped, and the Cubs won 8-3.
