We, along with our sponsors AAA, Wayne State University and the Detroit Tigers, know the need for structured and safe programs for children and youth, both after-school and during the summer months.”

The Youth Sports and Recreation Commission was launched in 1995. The objective of the Commission is to coordinate, advocate and support quality after-school and recreational programs for children and youth, ages 6-17, in Detroit, Hamtramck and Highland Park.
