Dunn&Co. Wins Eight District ADDYs on Way to Nationals

After bringing home the coveted Best of Show award at the local ADDY® Awards in February, Dunn&Co. collected eight more ADDYs at the District ADDY Awards on May 1. Hosted by the AAF Tampa Bay (American Advertising Federation of Tampa Bay), the Fourth District ADDY Awards Gala recognized the year’s best advertising throughout Florida and the Caribbean.

Dunn&Co. earned seven District ADDYs for its “Piece by Piece” campaign developed for the ALS Association Florida Chapter. Piece by Piece features a series of television commercials, billboards, posters, various ambient media displays and a unique traveling exhibit of 150 mannequin torsos with “stolen parts” used to metaphorically portray the destructive effects of Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Dunn&Co. was also honored with a District ADDY Award for “The Evolution of Contrast Media”, a video created for the Medical Diagnostics division of GE Healthcare. The video provides a retrospective look at x-ray technology, specifically how contrast media has evolved over the last 100 years.

“It’s always an honor to win in a creative competition like the District ADDYs; it’s a good gauge of local, regional and national ability. We’re looking forward to seeing how the national judges perceive the work,” said Dunn&Co. President Troy Dunn. Dunn&Co.’s winning entries will next compete at the National ADDY Awards Competition in June.

The American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards represent the world’s largest advertising competition, with more than 60,000 entries annually. The American Advertising Federation, a not-for-profit industry association, conducts the ADDY Awards through its 200-member advertising clubs and 15 districts. It is the only creative awards program administered by the advertising industry for the industry.
