Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) October 19, 2008
In honor of Pittsburgh’s 250th anniversary, the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel will present an exhibit of paintings featuring the city’s Steel Valley.
“The Mill,” an exhibit by renowned local artist Adam Maeroff, will be downtown on display at the hotel at 107 Sixth Street, from Thursday, October 2, to Friday, October 31, 2008. It features paintings with an emphasis on wildlife in one of the Pittsburgh region’s most historically significant communities.
“We’re pleased to present the work of this gifted local artist in celebration of Pittsburgh’s 250th,” says Melanie Koscelnak, Director of Sales and Marketing at the hotel. “The Renaissance Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania hotel is the perfect place to display it — the hotel itself is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Fulton Building, where the hotel is located, has been a cultural landmark in Pittsburgh since it was built in 1906 by industrialist Henry Phipps.”
