Toronto, ON (PRWEB) February 26, 2006
The fifth annual motionball Gala, presented by AIR MILES and The Hive, was held on Friday, February 24th, at the York Theatre in Toronto. This hot event has become one of the yearâs must attend parties for 20- and 30- something Torontonians, promising a night of great entertainment, food, festivities and dancing that gets bigger and better each year. And best of all, all money raised benefits the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.
This yearâs stylish (but never stuffy) crowd will dance and mingle to DJ Adam Turner and enjoy performances by the Zero Gravity Circus, the Argos dance team and Drum tattoo. And for guests who have worked up an appetite, byPeterandPauls.com will serve a midnight buffet.
As the more than 1,100 people attending last yearâs gala can attest, this is a fabulous evening for a great cause. Tickets are $ 85 and are on sale now at www.motionball.com. The price of a ticket includes admittance to the event, a $ 40 tax receipt, an opportunity to win fabulous door prizes, the gourmet midnight buffet and a prize for all guests at the end of the night. VIP tickets are already sold-out, so people are urged to buy their tickets soon!
This yearâs raffle prize is a 4-night stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami, including airfare for two. Guests can also bid on over 90 amazing items and experiences at the silent auction, including:
a 36 inch SHARP Aquos TV
a signed Steve Nash Canadian Basketball Team jersey
a chance to be a guest on Off the Record on TSN
a chance to meet with the Blue Jays players during practice
a chance for you and 2 friends to play with World Doubles Tennis champ Daniel Nestor
Foursomes at various golf courses including Angus Glen
Platinum Leaf tickets
and much, much more!
To date, motionball has raised more than $ 380,000 for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. With the generous support of corporate and media sponsors, including AIR MILES, The Hive, Toronto.com, IDC Financial, byPeterandPauls.com, Liquid, Bacardi, Steam Whistle, and many others, motionball Gala 2006 is expected to raise an additional $ 100,000 for the charity.
