Question by justme: What was the full name of #41, last name Ray, on the Atlanta Braves team?
I have an Atlanta Braves jersey with the # 41 and “Ray” on the back. I would like to know who this player is.
This jersey is made by majestic and has “authentic collection” on it.

The only Ray that played for the Braves was Ken Ray in 2006. He wore number 38 though. Either what you have is a) a homemade jersey, b) a spring trainging jersey, or c) a minor league jersey (they have a lot of minor league affliates that are also known as the Braves).

edit: Irv Ray played for the Braves in 1888 and 1889, long before their wear numbers and names on uniforms. Like others have mentioned, #41 was retired by the Atlanta Braves in honor of Eddie Mathews. So it’s most likely a homemade jersey or a minor league jersey. It doesn’t mention Atlanta on it anywhere does it?
