Skyview Networks announced today a new multiyear partnership with the Pittsburgh Pirates to serve as radio broadcast software provider for the ballclub. Skyview, an integrated professional sports broadcasting company specializing in radio network distribution, automation systems and syndication will provide its F.A.S.T. (Flexible Audio Storage Technology) Inventory Management System and Live Read Software to the Pittsburgh Pirates; the software grants full control over all radio inventory on its flagship station.

“We are pleased to partner with Skyview Networks. The solution they provide is exactly what we needed to streamline the process of managing our broadcast inventory system,” said Marc Garda, Pirates Director of Broadcasting. “We have also been impressed with flexibility in the system and Skyview’s willingness to tailor the program to our specific needs.”

The Pittsburgh Pirates will implement Skyview’s F.A.S.T. Inventory Management System and Live Read Software providing the franchise the ability to effectively manage and track advertisers in their broadcast and efficiently log live reads for play-by-play announcers. The systems also provide the Pittsburgh Pirates with faster and easier client billing through advertiser scheduling, clearance and affidavit management.

“We are proud to announce our new partnership with the Pittsburgh Pirates,” said Matt Stys, Vice President of Business Development for Skyview Networks. “This is an exciting franchise to work with and I am confident that with our F.A.S.T. Software the Pirates will experience a much more manageable play-by-play experience in the broadcast booth and in the traffic department.”

The Pittsburgh Pirates radio broadcast hosted by Greg Brown, Tim Neverett, Steve Blass, Bob Walk and John Wehner can be heard on the Pittsburgh Pirates radio network and its flagship station, WPGB-FM 104.7. For more information on the Pittsburgh Pirates 2010 season, visit http://www.pirates.com.
